As our community’s local property resource we keep a sharp eye on the housing market. Each quarter we prepare a full regional housing report, which you can see in the links below.
To give you a flavour momentum continues and things are generally continuing to rise all round! House prices are up by 10.2% since this time last year with transactions proceeding through to completion, increasing by 180% in the last 12 months!
Locally things are also looking healthy! In Cheshire East prices have increased with an average sale price are selling each year, the highest in the north west with an average house price of £262,936! Stafford is close behind with prices now averaging £242,091.
Looking forward we see this momentum to continue with the extended Stamp Duty Holiday for properties with a value up to £250,000 having to pay nothing providing that they complete before the end of September and mortgage approvals increasing partially due to the impact of the government’s 95% lending scheme which will help new home owners and those with low existing equity, further supporting the housing market.
