We try to make the process as stress-free as possible to help you to move into your new home quickly.
Once you have had a good look through our available properties, made the decision on which one you want and had your offer accepted, we will request some information from you in order to move you along to the next step of conveyancing. It really is worth having all of this information to hand so we can get the solicitors instructed quickly.
This handy little checklist will help you along on your way:
Whether you are funding your purchase with cash, a mortgage, gifts from family or a combination of methods, we have to see full proof of where the money is coming from. This helps us to keep within parameters we have to set out by our regulators and also allows us to inform our sellers with confidence, that the funds are there ready for the purchase. If you need help with financial advice, get in touch – we can point you in the right direction.
We can electronically verify your ID using a handy app, or if you prefer you can pop into one of our branches and a member of the team will be able to help. We will require one form of photographic ID along with proof of your address (for every person financially involved in the transaction). This again keeps us compliant with our regulators and means we know exactly who we are interacting with throughout the transaction.
So that we know where to direct all correspondence to in regards to the conveyance of the transaction, we will need details of the solicitor that you will be using. If you need any help or recommendations please get in touch. Or click on the link to get a quote from Gent Law.
Of course, there are other things that will come to mind throughout the purchasing process and we will be more than happy to help. You may want to think about getting a survey, we can provide help on surveyors.
What about the actual move? You will need to start thinking about removals and utilities.
Any further questions, get in touch and we will do our best to help.
