According to our most recent research, house price growth is looking positive, up nearly 2% year on year with actual transaction levels up nearly 10% in the same time frame. Stability in the mortgage market means that borrowers are have a new found confidence in their affordability with lending rates up a huge 25% year on year.

Looking at the nitty gritty of inflation and interest rates, we saw the official end to the recession when inflation grew earlier this year by 0.6%. This is leading economists to believe a drop in the base rate over the next 6 months will steady the market further improving consumer confidence.

According to Zoopla there are 20% more homes on the market than this time last year with supply at its highest in 8 years. This means that buyers have move choice however, affordability pays a big part so pricing your property competitively and marketing well is still key to achieving a quick sale.
